Let me take you back a little bit. The year is 2021, and I’m posting a few stuff to YouTube. Nothing big, and definitely nothing fancy. But I started to notice that even though I was watching and searching for things that interested me on YouTube, I was also getting a lot of things that I just didn’t want to see. And those things had a lot of violence, cursing, having to have a lot of bleeps to keep the foul language down. And I just kinda got tired of YouTube.

Not that youTube doesn’t have a lot of good stuff, it’s just that I was having to SEARCH for the clean stuff. Instead of me just seeing it. Now, I understand that it was showing me stuff based on some algorithm, but still, it was getting a little infuriating.

So fast forward a year or so later, I finally had some time to think about the problem that I had had with YouTube. The issue was, that everywhere I went to view videos it was always going to be the same thing. So I wondered what the solution was. And I wondered, until I finally decided to make my own clean video site.

So as you do with all things in tech, I went down the rabbit hole of finding out the best way that I could afford to make the site, and still have money to eat on. And with the help of a few friends and people who are way smarter than me, I had the solution.

So at the start of 2024 I got a server, got WordPress installed, found a theme that I wanted, and ONLYSFW.COM (Only Safe For Work) was started.

I had made the thing that I wanted. A place where there were no curse words. no need for a million bleeps to cover bad words. No nudity. No violence. Only a place where all the videos were clean videos and a place where everyone from the age of 1 day to 100+ years old, could watch videos that didn’t make them cringe or want to stop watching.

Since I have started it, I have slowly been adding video and had a few others do the same. The idea here isn’t to rocket to the money. There’s a purpose to have a place that people can go and actually enjoy videos and enjoy the experience without worrying about what the next video is going to be. Or if they have to make sure to cover kids ears from the language.

So I encourage everyone who post clean, fun and educational video to YouTube, to create an account, and embed those videos. It will keep them engaged with YouTube, but also allow others to watch your videos in a clean environment.

What’s the plan for the future?

So I do want to make sure that those creators do make some money, along with me being able to make money, increase the servers and allow more people to join. I will be starting my own Ad company that will only have clean ads. I will also make sure that when I do finally have ads from this now company that the creators get a good portion of the ad revenue. Because let’s be honest, if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be able to do all this.

So the future is open, and I hope that a lot of people come on board and show their clean videos. I hope more people understand what I’m trying to accomplish and that it is something they can get behind.
